Dniester PSP is a part of complex hydropower scheme on the Dniester River, which also includes Dniester HPP-1 and Dniester HPP-2 (buffer hydro scheme).
After commissioning at total installed capacity (turb. 2268 MW, pump. 2947 MW) Dniester PSP will be the largest pumped storage power plant in Europe. Construction of the PSP began in 1983. The first hydro unit was commissioned in December 2009, and the second one - in December 2013. At present time, works on the commissioning of third hydro unit and the completion of the first stage of PSP`s construction are in progress. Works accomplished by HYDROTECHPROJECT Ltd. for Dniester PSP:
- Design and survey, research works on the justification of detailed design and provision of engineering supervision: heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, water supply, sewerage and firefighting systems; instrumentation; hydrological and filtration calculations. Detailed design, 2011-2014
- Design Update for the 1st stage of the PSP including measures on reliability and safety of hydrotechnical structures, main hydropower and hydromechanical equipment. Lower reservoir. Detailed design, 2015
